Like A Chicken With Its Head Chopped Off
That would probably be the best way to describe how I felt today.
Every month or two I have an appointment about an hour and ten minutes from where I live and today was that day. I usually don’t do a lot of driving so just the drive there and back is exhausting PLUS I have to go to the pharmacy and since I’m in town sans kids it’s also a sensible time to got to Walmart as well. Well over the weekend my sister’s car broke down so we both needed the same vehicle around the same time. So I had to leave an hour early to drop her off in time then had a bunch of time to kill in Green Bay before going the rest of the way to my appointment so I decided it’d be a good time to learn how to get places I didn’t know how to get to and do some quick shopping. I didn’t get lost at least and I got a rain check on one thing and found some other stuff I had been having issues finding for my hair(it’s down to my butt so I have some split end troubles). Then I got to my appointment, then hiked it back to Green Bay, filled perscriptions, got chocolate(don’t ask) and then picked my sister up. Thank God she drove to her work and then back home so I didn’t have to, but still, it was exhausting!
Oh and did I mention that I only slept four hours last night and have been up since 3 a.m.?!?!
I can’t wait for the kids to fall asleep so I can too! I really need to leave the house more so when I do it doesn’t tire me out so much, or workout more, or SOMETHING!
Did Ya Miss Me??
I bet you guys thought I was going to just drop off the face of the Earth again didn’t you? Well you can’t get rid of me that easy Blogosphere, this girl is here to stay!!
Last Saturday I had my upper right wisdom tooth pulled since it had been cracked awhile back and, due to the impossible-to-brush location of wisdom teeth, then developed a nasty cavity. Add that to my chronic teeth clenching and normal tooth wear-and-tear and most of the tooth had broken off and I was in major pain. So out it came, and next month I go back to have the other top one out. Not sure when or how they plan to take care of the bottom two. They are both no longer fully impacted but are sideways, which explains why two times with braces and retainers didn’t permanently resolve the crowding of my lower teeth and the occasional lower law pain I get.
Then last Sunday I woke up hardly able to move I was so sick. I slept and ran a fever all day hardly ever waking up for anything, thank God my mom was here to watch the girls. It took me the better part of the week to feel even half way better, but I’m finally feeling like myself again, yay!! So I’ll be back to posting as usual tomorrow!!
It Is 4 A.M. And I’ve Been Up For An Hour Already FML
So Friday night I just could NOT fall asleep, so around four o’clock Satirday morning I said fuck it, got up, made coffee, and started my day. I’m an insomniac and have been for years on end so sleep issues are no stranger to me. I take medication for it but it can be very hit and miss as to if it works at all on any given night(then I have anxiety pills to take since that is most likely the underlying issue keeping me up). It doesn’t happen to me that often anymore where I don’t sleep at all I usually fall asleep at some point and at the very least get a couple hours, but not Friday night, nope. I was actually okay Saturday surprisingly, I had thought I’d be exhausted, the only side effect was I had to put on makeup because I looked like the walking dead, even though I felt fine(btw, the song
Living Dead Girl
is playing in my mind now lol). Well Saturday night I crashed as soon as my kids fell asleep and got a decent amount of sleep, so I just chalked Friday night up to being one of those nights. Well I had court Monday morning and had to get up early to get ready and, surprisingly, fell asleep fine Sunday night and got a full nights sleep, which is wierd because I usually can’t stay asleep for eight hours at a time. Well my body retaliated by waking up at 3 this morning and not letting me fall back to sleep(I’m one of those people who have to be careful not to fully wake up otherwise once you are up you are up for good). I think it is going to be a looooong day
New Years Resolutions
I havn’t really made any New Years Resolutions for the past three years. It wasn’t for any real reason, I just didn’t really think about it. The last time I made a resolution was four years ago on New Years Eve 2007 when I was 15 years old, almost 22 weeks pregnant with Chanel, and newly single for the first time in just over a year. I had those resolutions on a post it note on my mirror for a long time after. I can’t remember all of them but some were; be a good mom, get a boyfriend(or maybe it was no boys for awhile), lose the baby weight ASAP after having Chanel, and ruin Ryan’s life(hell have no fury like a woman scorned and all that, add teenage and pregnancy hormones to that and you’re just asking for trouble). I was, and am, a good mom, if the goal was to get a boy I did that(if it was to stay away from them that was an epic fail, I was engaged October ’08), I didn’t manage to lose all the weight, and I didn’t ruin Ryan’s life(we get along now although he doesn’t see Chanel).
This year though I’ve decided to make a couple resolutions;
-finish high school/get GED
-start college
-get outside more
-blog more regularly/grow as a blogger
-comment on the blogs I read more often

I got up this morning to this layer of fresh Wisconsin powder.

This is like the third of fourth time this year we have gotten some snow, but it always melts, as it is supposed to today. It is officially the first day of winter though!!
Being An (Almost) Single Mommy
So I am about to be, as an increasing number of women are, a single mother again, which comes with things good as well as bad. One of the bad things that immediately stuck out for me was; no more sex! At least not on a regular basis. But have no fear EdenFantasys is here!

Review: Hard Candy Cosmetics
As I told you all I’m working on trying to fix the things I dislike about myself this year and I’m starting with the hair and make up thing. I have been doing ok, it’s hard to break bad habits that make life easy. But I still love my make up and one of my favorite brands is Hard Candy which is available at Walmart for a very reasonable price. It has some very fun packaging and a lot of their products themselves are very fun and unique like the press on eye shadow pictured above that they were kind enough to send me to review!
The press on eye shadow comes in 4 color styles with three different colors in a pack(only 3 are currently available). Personaly I am excited for the new smokey color set to hit stores because it looks like the easiest one to wear and the animal print one sounds so fun for a night out with the girls. They also have an exotic print I’m not crazy about and the glitter ones above they sent me which I’m also not too crazy about(but I really like the purple one!!). It’s like nail art for your eyes which is pretty cool, definitely not for older people though since it’s kind of wild(unless that’s their style which is totally kick ass). It’s pretty easy to line up to put on and the color transfers pretty easily onto your lids and has amazing staying power(especially after you put the setting powder on). I didn’t really care for the ones I got mostly because 2 of the 3 colors are with gold and I’m not a big gold fan(my engagement and wedding ring are even white gold) but the purple with silver I like. It’s definitely not an every day kind of thing, but for a party or night out it’s very eye catching.
What could be better?
They could definitely put more in a box for the $10 price and could also come out with some slightly more subtle designs. They could also be a little more available since there are many products on their site you can’t get yet.
Final Verdict
Would I buy this design? No, probably not. Will I buy the smokey one or animal print? Yea, for the right occasion. Do they have a lot of other products I absolutely love? YES!!!!

Review: Snorg Tees
I have always loved graphic tees. They make it easy to be cute and are usually inexpensive too. So while surfing the web I came across a cool site called Snorg Tees that had a lot of really nice shirts I’d never seen on other sites. So I sent them an email requesting to review one of their t-shirts and picked the one above. It’s so cute and they use nice soft tees for their shirts, I’m in love with it! They have a lot of really awesome designs ranging from cute to sassy and even have hoodies and kids shirts!
What could be better?
The only thing I can really think of that could be better is maybe they could be a little cheaper or be available in stores.

Review: Brand Castle
I’m kind of what you would call undomesticated lol, I can’t cook very well can’t remove stains, that sort of thing. These are, however, things I want to be good at. So when I got the opportunity to review a couple products from Brand Castle I was really excited! They sent me the fairy cookie kit in the above picture, which can be bought online, as well as their Luscious Lemon Cupcake Mix, which can be purchase during the spring at Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, TJ Maxx, and a few Bed Bath and Beyonds. Since I made the cupcakes first I’m going to review those first so let’s start with a few pictures(there will be quite a few in this post lol).
Ok, these are my pictures of my cupcakes and Chane with a cupcake. I didn’t take pics making them because that’s pretty boring, it looks like making any other cupcake lol. They come in a very pretty little box with mix for the cupcakes, mix for the frosting, sugar crystals, and the butterfly picks. Chanel wasn’t much help making them, shes pretty good at spoon licking though lol. They were not nearly as cute as the ox but OMG THEY TASTED AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can not stress this enough! I am going to stock up on these because they taste so damn good, they lasted less than 12 hours and I didn’t finish them until 8pm. Now some cookie making pictures…
These are some pictures of Chanel decorating her cookies. These ones turned out almost absolutely nothing like the pictures on the box. Fist off the fairy cookies are really big so trying to get them on the pan after you cut them out is hard and they warp easy. Plus cut out cookies are just pains in the ass anyway, and Chanel kept trying to steal the dough. Then when it came time to frost them I followed the instructions to a T and it really didn’t turn out well. I think it needs a little more water and a little less powdered sugar because it was thick and hard to spread and didn’t end up smooth plus it took all night to get hard and it didn’t taste quite right. Chanel had a lot of fun though painting them so it wasn’t a total waste. Here is a picture of the cookies I painted(Chanel did more table painting then anything lol)
they are kind of ugly lol. I think the cookies one is better supervised by someone a little better at cooking than I am but all in all we had a lot of fun!!
